Shelby is a DONA certified Birth Doula serving Western North Carolina. When not working with birthing persons in the area she is tending her small organic farm at home in the mountains of Burnsville.

She is passionate about equality for every birthing person and is here to advocate for a safe and embodied birth experience. With over a decade of experience in childcare from infants to adolescents, and after years working within family systems, Shelby has transitioned her work to become a birth doula since 2024.

“There is a connective symmetry between the seasonality of growing food and watching the cycles of a little human growing. We get to see Nature and Mother both perform their oldest, most beautiful role, growing something small with care. And together we watch it transform with the care and support of a community (and a little water and sunshine!).”

Shelby is here to support all birthing bodies and family units, and aims to meet you where you are on your journey. She offers sliding scale so that care is accessible to all.
